True, that the smartphone market is rising rapidly around the world, but the noteworthy thing is that top manufacturers in the world are losing its market share to the second-tier ones in the world. Samsung managed to keep the first place with a share of 31.2%, but dropped 1.2% compared to the Q1 share of 2013. Even though Apple still holds the second place with a market share of 15.5%, it also lost 2.2% of its share compared to the Q1 share of 2013. Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer, grew its share by 3.3% with an overall market share of 13.4% and managed to retain the third place in the process.
