CyberSecurity Academy Holds Their Internationally Recognized Training Course For Information Technology Professionals And Law Enforcement

CyberSecurity Academy today announced open enrollment for their Digital Forensic Examiner course that will be held July 7 through 11 2014. The five days of training will consist of the official DFE curriculum and will culminate with a practical examination for the designation of Digital Forensic Examiner – a designation that CyberSecurity Academy has been awarding to those passing the practical examination now for fifteen years.

The DFE course has been offered worldwide since 1999, and was one of the first digital forensic courses to be offered in the United Arab Emirates, with members of law enforcement completing the course as well as judges from the Ministry of Justice. The July 2014 course will be held at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Washington.

"There is a tremendous need for competent digital forensic examiners," said Steve Hailey, President of CyberSecurity Academy. "Our students hold positions in Fortune 500 companies, the military, law enforcement, and government.  We will continue to offer this course to keep up with the demand, and to offer our students an economical and cost efficient way to receive the training they need."

The course will also prepare students for the CyberSecurity Forensic Analyst (CSFA) certification that is held twice yearly. The CSFA is a three-day practical examination where candidates have to prove they are able to complete a comprehensive forensic analysis within a specific time frame.

"Students will be exposed to a variety of digital forensic tools during their training," said Mike Andrew, President of Training and Analysis Services. "We stress methodology and understanding of what the forensic  tools are doing versus using any specific tools. A forensic examiner who has a firm grasp of the basics will be able to use and learn to use a multitude of tools. Once you successfully complete our course, you will be able to use whatever tools you choose and are available to you."
