April 03, 2014. California, USA. Veteran filmmaker Anna May Simone (Director) has joined forces with award-winning journalists Keith Harmon Snow (Executive Producer) and Ann Garrison (Writer, Researcher) to document the "hidden" facts of an ongoing African Holocaust. This film invites people to “discover the shocking link between debt slavery of Westerners and mass genocide in Central Africa.” Together, they turn the lens inward on a disturbing history of violence, mass genocide, and the tentacles of global influence.
The film speaks to “the hidden hand of the one percent.” Those behind “An African Holocaust” (formerly The Déluge Film) are asking everyone who cares about the atrocities (past and present) to help them share the story you only thought you knew.
Operating on a shoe-string budget and using a savvy but simple crowd-funding campaign via Indiegogo.com they hope to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the next phase of this film. As the campaign site states, “The toll of human deaths and the blighted lives of people in east Africa's "Great Lakes" region is counted in the millions and continues to the current day.”
Grateful for every dollar, the producers have laid out fun and meaningful perks for all donations. Can’t donate but still want to help these voices be heard? Take to social media and share this important message with everyone — family, friends, and colleagues. The lessons of Rwandan’s shared history are many; don’t shut them out.
Help make The Déluge happen!
All it takes is 200 people donating $75 each and the ongoing anguish has a hope of being heard and addressed.
