Break the Cycle of Poverty in Africa with Matching Funds During “Double Your December” Campaign

December is a month designated for double giving as donations to Heart of God Africa up to $3,000 are matched by generous donor.

With emphasis on humanitarian projects geared to break the cycle of poverty in Africa, Heart of God Africa has impacted thousands and literally saved lives using the donations of friends and partners as well as mission teams.

Denise Matthews, Volunteer Executive Director of Heart of God Africa (HGA) is excited to announce the first ever “DOUBLE YOUR DECEMBER” campaign. A very generous donor has come forward with a generous challenge, offering to match the first $3,000 in donations received in December 2013.

HGA has many ministries and projects in key regions of Uganda, South Sudan and Kenya, with opportunities for expansion into other African countries. For an example, located in an impoverished African village, Kings Primary School, a tuition-free institution with nearly 450 enrolled students, is ready to be expanded to allow for students to advance to secondary education. HGA also raises funds for feeding programs, sponsorship programs, prison ministries, church planting, teacher training and more.

Too many children in Africa are sorely impacted by widespread poverty and hopelessness. Denise Matthews, HGA Executive Director from Riverside, CA, said, “We work within the framework of very low overhead in order for donations to be used in a way that provide the greatest impact. While ministering to the physical needs of many, we are experiencing a tremendous increase in opportunities to impact the spiritual and emotional needs of children and adults alike. We hope more people like you will partner with us to fill the empty bellies, dry the tear-stained cheeks, and offer love and hope to those who have none. We can only do that with the partnership of those who passionately sacrifice along with our volunteer staff to make a difference.”
