Beverley Hills, CA – A competition has been launched by Think Fun Games with a view to building a library of low cost, easily replicated learning games for kids, which can be used by schools in the future. The competition is open to those who feel that they can create fun yet education games, such as cool math games for kids, which can then be used to boost learning in a fun and efficient way.
The competition closing date is January 17th 2014 and winners will be announced on February 14th 2014. There are certain eligibility requirements for those who are interested in entering, which includes a minimum age of 18. Participants are being challenged to create a fun game that will engage and entertain young children, will make learning fun, and can be created and used at minimal cost.
An official from the company said: "We have seen that some of the most innovative and creative new game ideas often come from people who are not involved in the current “Toy and Game” communities. That’s one of the powers of the competitive model. By raising this prize we will be able to cast a much wider net in terms of finding designers, engineers, developers, teachers, and more that have the capability to create something amazing but haven’t had the chance or opportunity before. We actually can’t tell you what these final games or activities will look like yet because they haven’t been developed. However, we do know that new gaming experiences like this can absolutely be developed and they can be incredibly engaging and impactful."
There are five prizes up for grabs as part of the competition, with three 3rd place prizes of $1000 each, a 2nd place prize of $2000, and the top prize of $5000.
