Authorgen operates WizIQ.com, a subsidiary of Educomp Solutions Ltd, an online education platform which provides virtual classroom software for teachers and trainers at school and university level has raised a $4 million Series B round. The funding was led by Kaizen, an Indian private equity fund focused on the education sector. German-based global media company, Bertelsmann, also participated.
Laurence Girard, CEO of Prevently was provided the forged certification by Willie De <willie@wiziq.com> with the proposal to prove the company’s HIPAA compliance. Laurence was immediately suspicious of the certificate as it mentioned WIZIQ, Inc was certified as Certified HIPAA Privacy Security Expert (CHPSE) The CHPSE certification is issued to individuals only, plus the dates on compliance seal and date of certificates were different. Based on this information he immediately realized something is wrong. He contacted HIPAA certification issuing company to check the authenticity of the certificate. HIPAAcertification.net immediately confirmed that the document was forged after reviewing the forged certificate. Prevently chose to license an alternative HIPAA compliant FDA-registered solution VSee instead for it's telemedicine video conferencing software.
Supremus Group LLC, the HIPAA certification issuing company contacted WIZIQ for clarification but nobody responded to the emails and phone calls. Company claims that they have 200,000 teachers and 3 millions users but there is no way to check if the numbers are correct and how many USA based client are misguided in similar way.
“We have tried to contact the company numerous times but no one has bothered to respond. This shows the low level of professionalism at wizIQ.
