October – The McCann Law Group appointed attorney Jineane McMinn as a supervising attorney in October in an effort to help more Florida residents resolve financial issues and avoid foreclosure. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, McMinn is especially passionate about helping financially distraught Florida residents find debt relief through bankruptcy.

McMinn enjoys focusing her work on helping Florida homeowners prevent foreclosure and achieve a fresh financial start by filing for bankruptcy. She developed this passion while working with bankruptcy cases at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.

In addition to working with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, she also worked for Sullivan and Company, primarily dealing with cases in maritime law. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

McMinn attended law school at the Florida Coastal School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate degree. Before pursuing law school, she went to Liberty University in Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

She is a member of several professional organizations and associations including the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association, the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Jacksonville Women’s Law Association.

McMinn strives to offer more Jacksonville natives access to pro bono bankruptcy-related legal aid by devoting more of her time with the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.
