VDN Becomes Certified Partner with Acme Packet to Enhance Core Infrastructure Management Offering

By gaining proficiency in Acme Packet's technology, VDN has widened their own portfolio to include installation, deployment and support of Acme Packet's Session Border Controllers, complimenting their current managed services offerings. VDN's clients benefit greatly from this certification, as this technology is an essential piece of any VoIP or SIP implementation.

Voice & Data Networks (VDN) is proud to announce that they have earned the title of an Acme Packet Certified Reseller. As a certified partner, VDN is now authorized to sell Acme Packet products in multiple areas of VoIP specialization, such as IP PBX, Unified Communications, Contact Center, and Government. They are also able to service Acme Packet products in a joint delivery format where they resolve issues from Tier 1 and 2 calls, as well as provide employee training. VDN can now offer their clients installation, maintenance, and infrastructure management services for their Acme Packet products, without wasting time being the facilitator between their clients and Acme Packet.

“We’re excited to be an Acme Packet Certified Reseller on many levels,” says Joe Hines, CEO of VDN. “For example, many of our clients who are considering SIP will now reap multiple benefits that include cost reductions, flexibility, and resiliency due to enhanced traffic management that enables key capabilities like placing local calls when travelling out of state or abroad.”

This certification allows VDN to act as an extension of the manufacturer as well as gives them access to their high-level engineering and troubleshooting talent. In combination with the manufacturer’s expertise, VDN has a trained team in-house with strong skills that intimately knows their customers’ networks and requirements.  This partnership offers VDN’s clients a level of customization of their Enterprise Unified Communications (UC) solutions that is vital to their individual businesses. VDN can achieve this level of customization due to the familiarity that they have with their customers that larger vendors lack.

Acme Packet is a carrier grade session border controller (SBC) solution and is the gold standard by which session border controllers are judged. Session border controllers are an essential element for VoIP, SIP trunking, networking solutions, and wireless networking.  Security, connectivity, quality of service (QoS), regulatory requirements, and media services are the main functions of an SBC, emphasizing the importance of leveraging core infrastructure management for this technology in all types of businesses.
